Master Sergeant Danny Roberts (right) recently received the Army Commendation Medal while serving in Iraq with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 194th Engineer Brigade (TA), Tennessee Army National Guard of Jackson.
The Army Commendation Medal is awarded to any member of the armed Services who distinguishes himself or herself by heroism, meritorious achievement or meritorious service. MSG Roberts award states: "for outstanding performance of duty during the 194th Engineer Brigade deployment in support of OIF III. He provided extremely dedicated mission support in all areas assigned. His self-sacrifice, professionalism and pride reflects great credit upon him, his unit and the United States Army."
MSG Roberts is a resident of Parsons. He is married to Mary Will and he has three daughters Patty Roberts, Deanna Roberts and Amanda Lindsey of Parsons and one grandson, Andrew Lindsey of Parsons.
MSG Roberts is employed fulltime in the Tennessee Army National Guard as a supply Non-Commissioned Officer in the 194th Engineer Brigade in Jackson.
