Rainwater Army Achievement Medal

Sergeant First Class Richard Rainwater, a native of Milan, was presented the Army Achievement Medal during ceremonies in Iraq recently. The award was a result of his outstanding service during the pre-mobilization and mobilization process of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 194th Engineer Brigade (TA), Tennessee Army National Guard, Jackson. SFC Rainwater is serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom 04-06 with the 194th Engineer Brigade. He is the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the S-2 (intelligence) section.

SFC Rainwater is a 1981 graduate of Milan High School and 1989 graduate of the State Area Vocational School in McKenzie. He has served in the Tennessee Army National Guard since 1986 in Trenton and Jackson and has four years of active duty with the United States Army.

SFC Rainwater makes his home in Medina with his wife Lesa, daughter Elizabeth and son Stephen. He is an employee of Tower Automotive.
