These soldiers from Obion County are serving in Iraq with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 194th Engineer Brigade (TA), Tennessee Army National Guard.
The Jackson, Tennessee guard unit mobilized in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 04-06 in October 2004 and deployed to Iraq December 2004. The 194th is an Engineer Brigade responsible for many reconstruction projects throughout the southern part of the country.

Standing from left are Sergeant Chuck Sadler S-3 NCO (Union City), Specialist Gerald Franklin S-3/Administration (South Fulton), Sergeant First Class Pete Quinton S-5/PAO (Union City), and Sergeant Mark Vibbert S-3 NCO (Union City) and Specialist Joe Burton S-3/Convoy Operations (Obion).
Commander of the 194th Engineer Brigade is Brigadier General Jimmy Welch (Dyersburg) and Brigade Command Sergeant Major is CSM Ronald Jones (Bradford). Commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Company 194th is Captain Christopher McDaniel (Jackson) and Company First Sergeant is 1SG Tim Ingram (Trenton).
