Milligan Promotion

Major Andrew Milligan (right) was promoted to his present rank in a ceremony on September 15. He is serving in Iraq with the 194th Engineer Brigade, Tennessee Army National Guard, Jackson, Tennessee. The 194th has been deployed in Iraq since January of this year.

MAJ Milligan is the Engineer Equipment Officer for the Brigade's S-4 section. His duties are managing the maintenance program for 1500 vehicles and overseeing the protective armor efforts for wheeled vehicles in the engineer battalions and separate engineer companies under the command of the 194th. He also serves as the Brigade's assistant S-4 Officer.

MAJ Milligan is a 1988 graduate of Powell High School, Powell, Tennessee and a 1993 graduate of Tennessee Tech, Cookeville, Tennessee. He has over eleven years service in the United States Army and the Tennessee Army National Guard. He is a resident of Clarksville and is married to the former Nancy Gibson. They have two children; Patrick, 7 and Connor, 19 months. MAJ Milligan is employed as Manufacturing Engineer for Tyco Adhesives of Franklin, Kentucky.

When asked if he would like to make any other comments, MAJ Milligan said he is "just ready to come home and spend time with Nancy, Patrick, Connor and all my family. Love you and miss you all".

Pinning new rank on MAJ Milligan is the Commander of the 194th, Brigadier General Jimmy Welch.
