Jackson Meritorious Service Medal

Sergeant First Class Ronnie Jackson (left) was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, recently, while serving in Iraq with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 194th Engineer Brigade (TA), Tennessee Army National Guard, Jackson.

SFC Jackson has completed 20 years in the military with 3 years active duty in the Navy. He, his wife Tammy and daughter Megan are residents of Jackson, Tennessee. SFC Jackson is a 1978 graduate of Dyer County High School in Newbern. He states, "It is an honor and privilege for me serve in the Armed Forces of the United States and the State of Tennessee. While in Iraq, SFC Jackson is serving as the Deputy Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the LSA Adder Judge Advocate Generals office.

The certificate states: "for meritorious achievement as the Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge at LSA Adder JAG office. Through self-initiative and tireless effort, he was successful in training, preparing and organizing the first consolidated Judge Advocate General legal office at LSA Adder, Iraq. Such performance reflects great credit upon him, his unit and the United States Army."

The Meritorious Service Medal is awarded to soldiers who have distinguished himself or herself by outstanding service or achievement.
