First Sergeant Tim Ingram (right), of Trenton was recently awarded the Meritorious Service Medal during a formation in Iraq. First Sergeant Ingram is serving with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 194th Engineer Brigade (TA), Tennessee Army National Guard. The Jackson, Tennessee Guard unit has been deployed since January 2005.
The award states: "For exceptional meritorious service as First Sergeant of HHC, 194th Engineer Brigade. His outstanding leadership traits, untiring dedication to soldiers and soldier readiness greatly contributed to the success of the deployment. His performance reflects great credit upon him, his unit and the United States Army."
First Sergeant Ingram is employed as fulltime Senior Personnel Service Sergeant for the 194th Brigade. He is married to the former Cindy McCall and they are the parents of two children, Jana and Clay. Clay is deceased. 1SG Ingram is a 1973 graduate of Spring Hill High School. He has 31 years of military service including 4 years of active duty in the Air Force.
Brigadier General Jimmy Welch, Commander of the 194th Engineer Brigade presented the award.
