Henderson County Soldiers


Lexington area and Henderson County soldiers now serving in Iraq with HHC, 194th Engineer Brigade (TA), Tennessee Army National Guard, Jackson, Tennessee are: (from left to right) Sergeant Gregory L. Wadley, Specialist Joseph A. Zerbe, Sergeant First Class Donnie N. Little, Sergeant First Class John H. Graves, Warrant Officer 2 Harold G. Renfroe, Sergeant Johnny R. Edwards, Specialist James A. Houston and Sergeant First Class Ricky J. Houston. These soldiers were mobilized in late October 2004 as a part of engineer operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 04-06. The Houston's are father (Ricky) and son (James).


Sergeant First Class Ricky Houston helps son Specialist James Houston lift a box into a truck. SPC James Houston received the box in the mail recently. The soldiers are one of two father and son teams deployed with Headquarters/Headquarters Company, 194th Engineer Brigade (TA), Jackson, TN in Iraq as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom 04-06. SFC Ricky Houston is the Non-commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of the S-5 section while SPC James Houston is Unit Armorer.
