Basham Promotion

Staff Sergeant Mickey Basham was recently promoted to his present rank in a formation of the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 194th Engineer Brigade (TA), Tennessee Army National Guard. The Jackson, Tennessee guard unit is deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 04-06. SSG Basham is assistant to the Chaplain.

Before being deployed, SSG Basham was the Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church, in La Vergne, Tennessee. He makes his home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee with his wife, Sarah, and their three boys; Micah(5), Harrison(2) and Scott(5 months).

SSG Basham has been a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard for over nine years. He graduated from the Primary Leadership Development Course June 04. He is currently working toward obtaining his bachelors of religion degree from Liberty University and desires to be a Chaplain in the future.
